A few weeks ago Belize City Mayor, Darrel Bradley, received a donation of fire resistant rubber boots from Andrews University in Michigan, USA. The 19 pairs will be disseminated among the National Fire Service’s recruits who will pass out next month. It comes as a handy gift, says Fire Chief, Francis Thomas, who was on hand to receive the boots. Meanwhile, Councilor Philip Willoughby, who represented Mayor Bradley, told the gathering that having boots fit for the job makes all the difference in the world.
