“Circo Ponse had completed over s week of circus entertainment in Punta Gorda and had completed packed up yesterday to depart from this municipality. What actually happened about 11:20 PM last night where the circus equipment was parked near the Toledo Union Football Field is still unclear as the entire circus crew left Punta Gorda earlier this morning. Reliable reports here confirmed that sometime before midnight a circus worker 42 year old Ricardo Gonzales was transported to the Punta Gorda Hospital with multiple bits on both hands by a tiger that was along with others in their cage. The more serious bites were to the right hand. The pool of blood stain on the road just below the cage area where the incident happened is evident of the serious injuries of the unfortunate incident. Gonzales was referred to the Southern Regional Hospital in Dangriga to where he was later transported by ambulance from the Punta Gorda Hospital. Reporting for Love News, Paul Mahung, Punta Gorda.”
