“As a result of s number of community consultations held over the past week with the Dangriga formation, a number of concerns were raised by the members of this municipality who attended the meetings.  Some of the concerns raised includes youth loitering in public places and engaged in fights, lack of respect to authority, public drinking, unpleasant attitudes of police officers at their work place, theft, burglaries, robberies, illegal parking on the public streets just to mention a few.  Conversely, Sr. Supt. Robert Mariasno indicate that he will take appropriate and proactive measures to prevent and reduce crime in an effort to enhance the quality of life for the people of this municipality and by the extension the rural communities.  As a consequence, the People’s Coalition Committee was formed yesterday in an effort to help reduce crime.   Ferguson is attached to the community policing unit.”
