DANGRIGA TOWN COUNCIL HOLDS PUBLIC MEETING

The Dangriga Town Council will be having a meeting with an open forum tonight in the town. Public Relations Officer for the Dangriga Town Council Michael Martinez says the public at large is invited.

“We are going to be having a Meet the Council. It’s actually a session that normally takes place at the council is presently endorsing and it is going to be a second session. It is to actually make the public aware of what is taking place in the council pertaining to the finances of the council and also the upcoming and going project that the council is up to and thirdly what is going to be mention are the Councilors themselves are going to be updating the different zones about all activities and events that are going to take place in their zones to present to the public. It is one measure that’s being taken for transparency that the council would like the public to actually be aware especially the residence of Dangriga.”

“7:30 PM through to 9:30 PM right here at the Town Hall, the general public is invited. It’s going to be simultaneously broadcast on both our television, our local television as well as local radio station.”

“Actually this is our TV Show this is actually the second Meet the Council that is the name of the TV show that we are starting for the public. It is the second session that is taking place we had one last month so it’s going to be a monthly event that is going to be taking place. It is important due to the fact that the residence are the one that elected the Council so the Council has the responsibility to be forth coming to the public about everything that is taking place and not to withheld to any information. Whatever the public need to know or desire to know they can come forth and ask the councilors themselves to hear it from the Mayor and the Councilors that they duly elected.”
