COROZAL POLICE CONTINUES INVESTIGATION ON MURDERS
Jul 13, 2012
Corozal police continue to follow leads in connection with the murders of Robert Hernandez and Kenrick Vacarro, an uncle and nephew duo who were murdered on Wednesday night. When we spoke with Officer Commanding the Corozal Police Station on Thursday, Love News also asked Superintendent Gualberto Garcia for an update on the murders of mother and daughter, Clari and Shanny Ferdersdorf, who were shot dead last week Thursday night.
GUALBERTO GARCIA, Superintendent of Police (Corozal Distict)
“The double murder last week, some suspects that we picked up that same night, we did not end up gathering any substantial remains for us to hold these persons and we could only hold them for 48 hours after which we had to release them. The investigation is still on going and if we need to pick up these persons back we’ll do so or if we get other evidence that will need us to pick up other persons it shall be done as well.”

“What about the quarter million that we keep hearing about that was in that safe?”
GUALBERTO GARCIA, Superintendent of Police (Corozal Distict)
“Well the quarter million have not yet been confirmed, it’s just a lot of allegation, a lot of rumors circulating out there but we heard that the police department have not been able to confirm that there was any amount of money relating to that safe, especially, an about being mentioned of a quarter million dollars we have not confirmed any such thing. E have looked into it as well because it could be a possibility and we have conducted searches in an effort to see if there would be any monies or whatever to be recovered but so far all of those searches have proved fruitless.”
Meanwhile, no one has been arrested for the murders of Kenrick Vacarro and Robert Hernandez.
