“One of the main problems was the drainage, the drainage problem and the street. So concerned citizens have come, included a lot of people from village area. We also had Mr. Hutchinson, Ms. Dolores and many other people from in the village. The meeting went on, with people from Hollywood expressing their concerns in their area. People from Beverly Hills and also people from all the way to the back of Lord’s Bank, they all came up with one agreement that we must work together and move forward our village. We are having a lot of drainage problem, a lot of water, people can’t come out whenever it starts to rain and it’s not because of the land it’s because of no proper drainage, no drainage at all, so that is what the meeting was all about. We have raised over $700 in that short meeting that took about two to four and a half hours. Everyone that was in the meeting came up with seven hundred and add dollars and so we intend to meet with the Village Council and other concerned people to come out on the 1st August. We will have another meeting on 1st August and we will then request how we can move forward in assisting the authorities in putting the proper infrastructure in the area.”
Ramos says another meeting will be held on the third of August in which they hope that they have full participation on behalf of the village council to further look at problem areas and possible solutions in the village.<< Read other news
