SEARCH IN ROARING CREEK UNCOVERS DRUGS AND WEAPONS

Police search in Roaring Creek village uncovered drugs and weapons buried near the riverbank. Correspondent Fem Cruz Reports.

“On Saturday, July 14th between the hours of 4 AM and 12:30 PM, a joint operation was conducted in the village of Cotton Tree and Roaring Creek comprising of Belmopan CIB through QRT Personnel, San Ignacio QRT and Canine Units. A total of seven houses were searched. During the operation three black plastic bags containing cannabis was found by the river bank in the village of Roaring Creek which amounted to 3.3 lbs. On a separate area in the same vicinity a total of 509 grams of cannabis, 109 grams of cannabis seeds, one pump action shot gun along with cartridges and 2.45 empty magazines were found buried under the ground. Also, at the same residence of the Richards family 46.3 grams of cannabis was found. In this joint operation seven persons were detained for the position of control drugs. The Canine Units made a huge contribution and was instrumental to the findings of these products. Senior Supt., C. Williams leadership along with the full support of OC ASP Thompson and OC Belmopan Supt., A. Ramirez, continued to do formation within the Cayo formation and will continue to conduct similar operation. This is Brother Fem Cruz reporting from the nation capital city Belmopan for Love FM.”
