Body Retrieved From Placencia Lagoon Sep 09, 2012

The body of a man was retrieved from the Lagoon on the Placencia Peninsula on Thursday afternoon.  The body was identified as that of 48 year old Albert Coleman from Independence village.    The body was first taken to the morgue at the Southern Regional Hospital; but because of the advanced state of decomposition, the post mortem examination was conducted yesterday evening on the Boom - Hattieville Road.  Mario Requena, brother-in-law of the deceased says that Coleman lived alone but would come to visit him.  He said he last saw him on Sunday but didn’t notice anything strange in his demeanor.  The post-mortem concluded the death to be due to drowning.  The body was cremated shortly after.
