The annual business exposition, known simply as Expo Belize was staged this past weekend at the old Belize Technical College grounds now known as the ITVETT compound on Freetown Road. According to a statement from the organizers, the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry, close to eighteen thousand people visited the two-day expo, which featured display booths from representatives of the productive and business sectors. The BCCI statement says a record number of booths were set up for this year’s expo, one hundred and fifty two to be exact. That is twelve more than was set up for last year’s expo.  This year’s winners for Best Overall Booth is Karl H Menzies with their Heineken booth in the alcoholic beverage section of the EXPO, followed by the Belize Camping Experience with a close second, and third place being awarded to the Belize Insurance Centre Ltd.
