Family of Dead Woman Suspects Murder
Sep 24, 2012
The family of a woman who was knocked down and killed early Saturday morning in Ladyville is asking anyone who knows of the incident to help them solve the mystery behind her death. That is because they believe that thirty-six year old Sherlett Longsworth was murdered. One of Longsworth’s sisters told Love News today that Longsworth went to celebrate on Friday night and was reportedly walking home early Saturday morning when she was killed.
“The family was drinking together on Thursday evening. We went out to Honey Super Centre, we had a couple of stout; she came in and took some food for her kid, went out back; we were out there at Honey Super Centre drinking another stout and after that she and a male friend disappeared. Me, my other sister, her boyfriend and my boyfriend, we went home back and decided to get some food and went out back to Honey Super Centre; we saw her again and that was between 9 and 10pm and she was still with the same male friend. After this we went home again, me, she, my other sister, my boyfriend, she, her friend; my sister went inside and she and I stayed right in front of my house, she went home (she lives two houses down from me); she came back and went home again and the male friend followed her and they both came back. They then left us and said they are going back to Honey Super Centre and so we went inside and watched the flag raising ceremony on the television and went to bed. About three o’clock early Friday morning, a young man came in a vehicle and said he saw my sister on a road through Marage Road lying dead. A young man said he saw a vehicle and he got part of the number which is C-34; it’s a black pickup and he said he saw it speeding off Marage Road. She had a problem about three weeks ago when someone attacked her to rape her and she didn’t know anything, whether the man was charged or if they picked him up. I feel my sister was murdered and not accidentally knocked down by the way she laid on the ground. She has a bust in her head, her hand was twist and broken and a vehicle tire track was on her. If someone gets hit and it’s hit and run your body wouldn’t be at the spot, your body would fly. Nobody in the neighborhood heard anything and no one is coming out and saying anything.”
