Missing Firearms In Punta Gorda

Four firearms are missing from the Fisheries Department office in Punta Gorda town. Our Toledo Correspondent Paul Mahung has the details in the following report.

Report of the missing firearms was made to Punta Gorda Police as explained by Officer in Command Toledo Police Formation Inspector Ernel Dominguez.

“Lindon Landy, 42 years, Fisheries officer as well as the person managing the Fisheries section in the Toledo District reported to Police that sometime between 2pm on the 23rd September and 8am on 24th September, his office situated in Punta Gorda was burglarized and stolen there from was (4) 9mm pistols in the form of one Lugar brand 9mm with serial number A079516 with magazine; 1 black Glock 9mm pistol with serial number MXR252 with empty magazine; one black Glock 9mm pistol with serial number MXR251 and one Taurus brand 9mm serial number TPA13008 was reportedly stolen from the office. Estimated value of the mentioned would be about two thousand dollars each and so far Police continue their investigations into the incident.”

Police Inspector Dominguez commented that related to the safety of members of the public, the missing four firearm remains a major concern and while investigation continues, the Police is making a request to anyone having any information in regards to the missing four firearms from the Fisheries Department Office here to kindly contact the nearest Police Station.
