A resident of Harmonyville is still in shock after she and her brother-in-law were held up at gunpoint while working at Manatee on the Coastal Road.
27-year-old Carla Campos told Love News that on Wednesday October 3, she and her brother-in-law 33-year-old Jose Campos left home sometime after eight in the morning enroute to Manatee on the Coastal Road to buy some scrap metal.
Campos said sometime around 11:30 they started loading up some scrap metal when they were suddenly approached by four male persons with shirts tied over their faces, one armed with a handgun and another with a screw driver.
The one with the gun then placed it to her brother-in-law’s back ordering him not to move and the other with the screwdriver placed it to her throat while the other two went inside the truck and proceeded to search.
The men made off with her purse containing 850 dollars in cash along with her children’s birth paper, social card, driver’s licence and other important documents. All four persons then made good their escape by running into the nearby bushes.
