“A two week International Border Interdiction course to equip Customs and Police officers how to handle a situation when it appears at the borders has concluded Friday at the Belmopan Training Academy in Belmopan City. Assistant Superintendent Rosado will tell us the importance of the course:”
“First of all, I would like to mention that the course is yet another initiative of the US Government in capacity building for our customs and police officers. Participants were trained in techniques of vehicles and passenger examination, behavior and procedure analysis and document examination among others. The participants will now be able to return to their posts and perform their duties in a professional manner and within international standards. We had twelve participants – ten customs officers and two police officers; we had six facilitators from the US Customs and Border Agency.”
Rosado said the next session which will begin next week will include Police, Customs and Immigration officers.
