GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL AND LAW ENFORCEMENT MET TO DISCUSS CRIME IN ROARING CREEK

Area Representative for Cayo South Ramon Witz, Officer in Charge of Belmopan Police Superintendent Aaron Guzman and Dale Pelayo Chairman of Roaring Creek Village met with at least 15 young men from Roaring Creek Village yesterday. The meeting followed a number of criminal incidents in Roaring Creek Village. During yesterday’s meeting the young men, who it is believed have been behind some of the activities said they would be willing to cease their illegal activities. They pointed out that there are no jobs in the village for them. The area representative committed to assist them in working in the village. He promised that beginning as early as tomorrow those interested would be employed in clearing the street sides and chopping a number of open lots in the village.
