Belmopan Police are investigating a stabbing incident which caused the death of 40 year old Photographer, Norman Belisle.  Police say last night sometime after ten they responded to a report of a domestic dispute between Norman Belisle and his wife Victoria Belisle at their home in Camalotte, Cayo District. Police say on their arrival they spoke to Norman Belisle who agreed to leave. He left but reportedly returned a short while later.  He reportedly got into an altercation with some of his wife’s family members. As a result Belisle was stabbed to the right side of the back and behind the right ear. He was taken to Western Regional Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. Police have since detained 22 year old Alex Matute of Camalotte Village in connection with this incident.

Police in Orange Walk Town are looking for Jason Audinett Bull in connection with a report made a 13 year old minor. The minor accompanied by her mother reported to police that on Tuesday August 15, sometime after four p.m. she left home on an errand. The minor said upon reaching a house on Riverside Street she was dragged into a house by a Hispanic male known to her as “J”. He tied her up and had sexual intercourse with her against her will. He reportedly later released her.

Police have charged 38 year old Hank Leon Rhamdas of Placencia Village with manslaughter by negligence and causing death by careless conduct. Rhamdas was charged in connection with an incident which claimed the life of 56 year-old businesswoman, Josefa Gomez of San Felipe Village, Orange Walk. Gomez was killed when the boat in which she was a passenger, collided head on into another boat on the Placencia Lagoon in southern Belize last Sunday.
