A release from the Belize Press Office states that the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Belize Police Department will resume full cooperation. This follows discussions held today between Attorney General Francis Fonseca and Director of Public Prosecutions Kirk Anderson. All criminal files pending advice and directives from the office of the D-P-P will continue to be dealt with in a timely and professional manner and there will be no additional delays in the administration of justice. Prime Minister Said Musa will be meeting with all the relevant parties next week to discuss issues of concern and to ensure that the shared objectives of combating crime and violence and upholding the rule of law continue to be met through a strong and effective partnership between the office of the D-P-P and the Belize Police Department.
