BELIZE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO RAISE FUNDS TO AID POLICE OFFICER

The Belize Police Department is trying to raise funds to provide financial assistance to one of its own who is seriously ill. Woman Police Constable, Sheryl Felix is currently in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and is in need help. We spoke today with Police Press Officer, G Michael Reid, to find out what the Department is doing to help.

“Right now we are trying to determine what the complications are that she is experiencing. The doctor has not been given us much information I think the family will have to get that from the hospital. But certainly I think that the Police Department is very concerned that one of its own is going through this difficulty and everything possible will be done to assist and at this point a lot of money has been spent in providing test etc for WPC Felix. At this point fund raising is being considered that Police Community Personnel are working now in trying to raise some funds you know that the department does not have a lot of money but certainly we are doing what ever we can with what we do have.”
