Belize City Police are investigating a report of a robbery. 27 year old Rennick Reneau, employee of Belize Times Press told Police that sometime around 8am on Wednesday, he was waking to work when he was attacked near the Swing Bridge by two male men. Reneau told police that the men threw him to the ground and stole nine hundred and ninety eight dollars that was the property of the Belize Times Press. Reneau says he did not see who the men were. Police are investigating.

A post mortem examination was conducted on the body of 22 year old Denver Gomez of Forest Home Village in Toledo. Gomez ‘s body was retrieved  by a search  party yesterday  two days after he had been missing at sea. Gomez was on a fishing trip along with two other men when the dorey they were traveling in capsized. A post mortem examination was conducted on the body and a medical officer certified the cause of death as Asphyxia due to Drowning.
