BACK TO SCHOOL JAM TO BE HELD

“The program will include musical performance by visiting minorettes band from Belize City, Wumalali Dance Group, Children of the Most High Cultural Dance Group of P.G. and on-stage performances including songs, poetry, dance and drama. Other highlights will include a slam dunk contest for under sixteen and under nineteen male participants and a walawine contest for females, cash prizes will be awarded to the winner. The program will conclude with a bashment featuring Tropical Sensation band A.K.A .Coolie Rebels and DJ Orson. Coordinator of the event Doyle Flowers said that the back to school jam session aims to promote the marching band concept in Punta Gorda provide new choosy opportunities of showcasing their talents on stage and create opportunities for youths to enjoy healthy and enjoyable activities during their school vacation.  Flowers commented that through generous sponsors the event will offer two-door prizes including one year free tuition for a high school student and free books, registration and uniform for one primary school student.  High school and primary school students, other youths and members of the public are invited to the event with admission free of cost.”
