ROTARY DISTRICT GOVERNOR VISITS BELIZE

The Governor of Rotary District 4250, Carlos Ernesto Andrade is on an official visit to Belize. Governor Andrade visited the Corozal Rotary Club yesterday. Love News spoke with Governor Assistant for the Belize City Rotary Club Rene Villanueva Senior.

“Governor Anrade is here to visit the Rotary Clubs of Orange Walk, Corozal Belize City. On Wednesday Governor Anrade will be visiting with the Orange Walk Club. He will be meeting with the board of Directors of that club. There will be touring some of the projects being implemented by the Orange Walk Club then he’ll attend the regular club meeting in Orange Walk on Wednesday night. ON Thursday he comes to Belize City where he’ll be meeting with a board of directors of the Rotary Club of Belize in a lunch and he’ll be touring several of the projects undertaken by our club. He will be familiarizing himself with the activities surrounding the Endoscopic Clinic, The Gift of Life Projects, the BERT Ambulance Services and we’ll be hearing reports from the members of the board. There will be a special club meeting on Thursday evening where Governor Anrade will deliver the message just like he did in Orange Walk and Corozal to the Belize City club. The Governor is required to visit 52 clubs in the district. There are several rotary clubs in Belize. These seven Rotary Clubs are in Corozal, Orange Walk, Belize City, Belmopan, Placencia, Dangriga and San Ignacio. ON this visit the Governor will visit the clubs of Corozal, Orange Walk and Belize City. In November he will return to visit the other four clubs and the district encompasses Belize, Honduras and Guatemala. He is required to visit each club in the district during his year as Governor. The Rotary theme for this year is Lead The Way, which was the theme that was chosen by the current Rotary International President William Bill Boyd.”
