Dangriga Town Police have charged a second man in connection with a vicious assault upon a man in that municipality. On September 14 two men brutally beat Windell Nunez. Shortly after the incident, Police had charged 22 year-old Frederick Arzu but the other suspect, 27 year-old Eldon Anthony Leslie remained at large. However, this morning, police charged Leslie after his attorney, Leo Bradley Junior handed him over to police. Both Arzu and Anthony are now charged with attempted murder, dangerous harm and burglary. Leslie appeared in Dangriga's Magistrate's Court this afternoon to answer to charges.

Belize City Police have charged 40 year-old Albert Guy. This is in connection a car theft and accident that occurred this past Monday. Police allege that Guy had hired the taxi driver to take him to Orange Walk. However, when the taxi man turned his back to buy inside a store, Guy allegedly drove off in the car, eluding a police checkpoint, and later knocking down a woman and a child. Guy is charged with taking a motor vehicle without the consent of its owner. With regard to the accident, Police are awaiting a report from the woman, who was treated at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and released.
