UNIVERSITY OF BELIZE TO HOST FORUMS

January 23, 2007

The University of Belize will be hosting two forums this week. Director of Development at the University Doctor Geraldo Flowers told Love News this is all in an effort to inform students on current issues of national importance.

Doctor Geraldo Flowers:

The first will be held this Wednesday in the IT Auditorium in Belmopan from 1:30 to 3:30 and it’s a student forum entitled “The Belize Citrus Industry, Sale of Shares and CPBL and future Sustainability”. Then the second forums will be on Thursday afternoon same time 1:30 to 3:00 and that forum will be for a guest speaker from the United States, the Senior Counsel to the U-S House of Representatives Committee of Standards of Official Conducts - The Ethics Committee his name is Mr. Ken Kelner. He is coming through the courtesy of the United States Embassy in Belize and he will be giving a talk and taking student questions on citizen oversight promoting ethical conduct in Government. So these are the two forums that we will be having this week at the U-B Campus in Belmopan. The forum tomorrow will have the Committee of Five if a representative from the CGA, CPBL and grower Mr. Denzel Jenkins. We would just like to ask the public tune in and to be informed on these very very important issues that are of nationwide importance and we will continue to work with Love FM and our partners in brining this type of information and communication to the public.”

Doctor Geraldo Flowers, Director of Development at the University of Belize. The forums will be broadcast live on Love F-M.
