LABOUR DEPARTMENT TO CONDUCT SECOND IN A SERIES OF WORKSHOP FOR EMPLOYEES

The Labour Department will be conducting the second in a series of forums for employees of the Commercial Free Zone tomorrow. The objective of the forum is to sensitize employees about laws, regulations, policy and procedures pertinent to labour immigration and social security. There will be presentations by the Labour Department, the immigration and nationality department and the Belize Social Security Board. Minister of State in the Ministry of Labour Valdemar Castillo will officially open the forum. The first in the series of forums for employees of the Corozal Free Zone was held on March 7. Similar forums were conducted for employers of the Corozal free Zone during February. Tomorrow’s forum will be held at Torre Royale beginning at four o’clock in the evening.
