Belize City Police are investigating an apparent double murder of a man and a woman.Sometime around 11:15 last night, Police visited a feeder road off the Northern Highway just north of the Haulover Bridge where they found; two people suffering from gunshot injuries to the head. The man appeared to be alive and was rushed to the Karl Heusner memorial Hospital but died enroute. He has since been identified as 32-year-old Dorian Michael of a West Canal address in Belize City. The female who was pronounced dead on arrival is yet to be identified. Both bodies await post mortem examinations and Police are continuing their investigations. Initial investigations reveal that a maroon colored van entered the feeder road sometime around 11 o’clock last night and the two were shot after exiting the vehicle. Anyone with information that can help the Police in their investigations is asked to please call the Police or Crime Stoppers.

Meanwhile, Belize City Police are investigating a report by an attendant of Esso Gas Station on Freetown Road in Belize City who told Police that shortly before 11pm of Sunday March 25th, he was on duty at said station when a maroon van pulled up to the pump and the driver ordered some gas. According to complainant, he was in the process of filling the order when two other persons exited the van and held him up with a small handgun and stole 350 dollars in cash. According to complainant, the men then re-entered the van and sped off toward the Flag Monument. Police are investigating the possibility the same van was the one used in the double murder that occurred near the Haulover Bridge last night.
