CONSTRUCTION WORKER CHARGED WITH KEEPING PROHIBITED FIREARM AND AMMUNITION

Twenty year old, Richard Jones a construction worker of number ten Victoria Street in Belize City is remanded into custody until June fourth after being charged today, with keeping a prohibited firearm and ammunition. Police say that this past Monday, they were on mobile patrol on Victoria Street when they spotted Jones in yard, looking suspiciously. A Police search of Jones resulted in the discovery of a twenty-gauge sawed-off shot gun stuck in the left side of the waist of his pants. Police say the gun had one cartridge in its chamber.
