THIEVES MAKE OFF WITH SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM BELIZE CITY BUSINESS

Thieves have made off with almost 17 thousand dollars worth of cash and items from the Belize Western Energy Limited’s office on Central American Boulevard. A manager at the company told Police that sometime between seven o’clock Wednesday evening and seven o’clock Thursday morning the office was burglarized. Thieves made off with seven thousand 250 dollars and 80 cents in cash, three black Proview brand 15 inch flatscreen monitor, one black Samsung brand 17 inch flatscreen monitor, one black c-p-u, one black Dell laptop, one black external hard drive, one black Omega overhead projector, a black Sony P-S-P play station and other computer accessories. Police say the thieves entered the building by damaging the wooden door on the western side of the building. Police are investigating and urge the public not to but items that are obvious proceeds of crime.
