VILLAGE LIFE IN BELIZE CITY

The last Village Life for the year takes place this weekend in Belize City.The event which is sponsored by Love FM and the Belize City Council will take place on August 4^th and 5^th from 10 a-m to 6p-m.  Belize City Councilor, Laura Esquivel, tells us that the day will be filled with lots to see, eat, and drink.

“It is Village Life in the city so we can remind everybody a little bit about what it was like in the days gone by of town life before Belize City was a city.And we are doing it in conjunction with Love FM.We are taking part in the Village Life Program and brining village life again to the city.We are going to be featuring items like the  Fire Hearth Bake-Off where contestants will have to bake four different types of goods on a fire heart and this is being co-sponsored by Grace Kennedy and ADM Mills.And we’re going to have a lot of display booths from the villages and we’re going to have lots of games like hula-hoop competition and jump rope competitions and things like that.So we’re inviting the general public to come on out.Bring your entire family.It’s going to be a family event and come on out and support us and have some fun.”  

Laura Esquivel,City Councilor.Highlights of the day will be broadcasted live on Love FM.Once again,village Life takes place at the Belize City Center this weekend from 10 a-m to 6 p-m.
