POLICE INVESTIGATE DEATH OF THREE YEAR OLD CHILD

Belize City Police are investigating the sudden death of three-year-old Kevin Garnett of Far West Street in Belize City.  31-year-old Sophie Gladden reported to Police that sometime before five o’clock yesterday evening, she was inside her house when the young child wandered outside in the yard.  Gladden said when she went outside, she saw the child lying beside a fallen barbecue grill and bleeding from the ear and mouth.  Gladden suspects that the grill might have fallen on the young child.  The child was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.  Police are investigating and are awaiting a post mortem examination.
