INCREASE IN BUTANE GAS PRICE ANNOUNCED

Today the Ministry of Finance informed of an increase of three dollars on the price of butane gas.  Because of this, residents in Corozal and Belize City will now pay one hundred and five dollars; Orange Walk residents will pay one hundred and six dollars, while the cost will be one hundred and seven dollars for residents in Belmopan and Dangriga.  Residents of Punta Gorda will have to pay now one hundred and eight dollars.  The new price in San Ignacio is one hundred and ten dollars.  Benque Viejo residents pay the most, one hundred and eleven dollars.  All these prices are for a hundred pounds cylinder of butane gas.  The new prices take effect today August 9^th.
