A man is dead after an altercation in San Ignacio. Police have arrested and charged 53-year-old taxi driver Joseph Garcia with manslaughter. This follows the death of 60-year-old American National Clifford Antony Mapp also known as Heniroso Romero. Garcia told Police around 7:20 pm last Saturday night, he was at the taxi stand in front of Courts Belize San Ignacio Branch. Garcia said Mapp, apparently under the influence of alcohol, approached him demanding that he pay him monies owed to him.
