THE LODGE OF CHAA CREEK'S WEBSITE WON 2007 TRAVEL STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE AWARD

The Lodge at Chaa Creek’s website, www.chaacreek.com, won the 2007 Travel Standard of Excellence Award. Every year, the Web Marketing Association holds a Website Awards Competition. This year, there were ninety-six industry categories and Chaa Creek, came on top. We spoke with Marketing Administrator, Mike Hernandez.

“The Lodge at Chaa Creek website won this year’s 2007 Travel Standard of Excellence Award.This is certainly a very important award because it highlights really,the kind of work that we do at Chaa Creek and the amount of effort and excellence that we place in promoting what Chaa Creek has about Belize.To get this award,Chaa Creek actually had to compete with many other websites from countries around the world.Bascially, the judges look primarily at the design,how well the website is presented and innovation at the various links on the website,in terms of content as well,in terms of its navigation,in terms of its interactivity,how well it’s received and in terms of the number of hits we get on a day to day basis.All these things they look at and they compare it with other websites and we came on top of it.” 

The Web Marketing Association was founded in 1997 to assisting in setting a high standard of Internet Marketing and in the development of the best websites on the web. The association is made up of internet marketing personnel, online advertisers, public relations personnel, and top website professionals who are interested in improving the quality of online advertising and website promotions. According to Hernandez, Chaa Creek has a lot to offer travelers.
