POLICE REPOND TO ACCUSATIONS IN CONNECTION TO RENNICK RENEAU'S DEATH

Last Tuesday, police responded to a report of a dead body in the Vista del Mar area.  The body was later identified as that of Rennick Reneau of Belize City. Forensic expert Doctor Mario Estradabran says the autopsy conducted on Reneau’s decomposing corpse was inconclusive.  He did not rule out foul play. He said the investigation revealed that there are no signs of physical violence; external nor internally.  This morning, acting police press officer Bart Jones responded to allegations that policemen were involved in the Reneau’s death.

“I know up to over the weekend that investigation was ongoing and continues, but no arrests have been made in that regard.”

“What do you have to say to allegations that the police was involved in the murder of Reneau?” 

Bart Jones,Acting Police press officer:

“Well certainly that was an allegation from a caller on a talk show and police are looking into that incident and trying to see if it was in any way connected to a shooting which occurred at one of the clubs over the last weekend, the Friday night if I’m not mistaken.”
