BELIZE CITY POLICE INVESTIGATE REPORT OF FORGERY

Belize City police are investigating a report of forgery.  Miguel Uk, an enforcement officer with the customs department reported that between August 8 and October 19, the forged signatures of three senior customs officials were placed on 42 Belize customs used vehicles valuation forms.  This enabled the duties on those vehicles, imported into Belize, to be reduced.  Police is looking for one suspect.
