42 YEAR OLD EMILY BETHRAN SEEKS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR MEDICAL ATTENTION

Forty two year old Emily Bethran of Belize City needs financial assistance to receive much needed medical attention.  This morning she visited our newsroom and told us about her medical situation.

Emily Bethran, seeking assistance:

“I suffer from dizziness, weakness, numbness of my whole body.”

“Is this on a daily basis?”

Emily Bethran, seeking assistance:

“Off and on and mostly on a daily basis. I have been back and forth to the doctor and according to them, they cannot come to a conclusion as to what is wrong with me and they said that I need a MRI and other tests to be run that will come up to $3,000 approximately and most of the time I have to call for the ambulance to come and assist me and I have been back and forth to the emergency and other doctors.”

“Do you work?”

Emily Bethran, seeking assistance:

“Presently I have a three days work and sometimes I can go and sometimes I can’t.”

Bethran said that she would really appreciate anyone’s help as she lives alone and needs to work to maintain her self.

“I would like to ask the Minister of Health and any other minister that can assist me, and even business people and the public to assist me in getting better, maintain my health so that I can go to work everyday and help myself because I’m only 42 years old.”

“How long have you been suffering this?”

Emily Bethran, seeking assistance:

“I have been suffering this for about three years now.”
