CYBERWALK ROBBER SENTENCED TO 6 ½ YEARS IN PRISON

18 year old Keith Bennett of Corozal town has been sentenced to 6 and half years in prison. Bennett appeared in Orange Walk Magistrate Court today to answer to charges of attempted robbery, harm and damage to property. Orange Walk police detained Bennett after he attempted to rob Cyberwalk Computers located on Otro Benque Road in OrangeWalkTown yesterday morning. Businessman Rafael Avila was stabbed in the process resulting in Bennett being convicted for harm. A 17 year old minor from CorozalTown also pled guilty to attempt robbery in connection with the same incident. He is expected to receive sentencing following a report from the Human Services Department.
