BEL Power System Update – 6:00am Nov 3 2022

Belize Electricity Limited joins the rest of the country in our recovery from the damages caused by the passage of Hurricane Lisa on November 2, 2022.

BEL’s teams have commenced assessments to determine the extent of damages, and coordinate our SAFE restoration of power supply to affected areas.

In areas where there are extensive damages, power will remain out for longer periods.

Please STAY AWAY from fallen power lines and DO NOT WALK INTO WATER NEAR FALLEN POWER LINES.

BEL will provide further updates as we make progress with our assessments and restoration.
