Belize Cancer Society in Belmopan turns 25

The Belmopan Branch of the Belize Cancer Society marked a quarter of a century of service to Belize and over the weekend, the organisation hosted its Annual General Meeting, Luncheon and Awards Ceremony. Keynote speaker was former House Speaker and the current national president of the BCS, Laura Tucker-Longsworth.  Her remarks were centred on the theme “Belize Cancer Society; Closing the Cancer Care Gap”. A release says that the theme underscores the association’s accomplishments and strategic direction. The society also announced the members of its executive committee for 2023-2024. Luke Ramos, Victoria Forbes, Dareth Cayetano and Peter August are the returning president, vice president, treasurer and assistant treasurer respectively. Terry Ann Audinett is the secretary. Beverly Swasey and Rodney Neal are the President Emeritus and immediate past president respectively. Trustees include Yvonne Hyde and Desiree Coleman and returning trustees are Steven Burn and Sonia Burn.
