Belize City and Orange Walk ITVETs are working to enhance their services

The Belize City and Orange Walk Institutes for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ITVET) are hoping to improve the services and training they provide by working with and learning from each other. Today, the organizations held a workshop in Belize City with the goal of exchanging best practices and knowledge. The staff of both institutions gathered and shared their individual teaching styles and discussed areas where they need to improve. Newly appointed General Manager of the Belize City ITVET, Ruel Black, says the goal of the venture is to improve the overall services and produce more highly qualified and skilled labourers.

Armando Gomez, Manager of the Orange Walk ITVET, says that the institution is hoping to work with ITVETs across the country to strengthen the country’s vocational education sector.
