Belize City man gunned down in front of his home

Twenty-one-year-old Andre Vernon was shot dead early this morning. The Belize City resident was on Madam Liz Crescent with some friends when at around 2 o’clock, a gold Mazda tribute taxi cab drove by. That same vehicle returned and someone stepped out, pulled out a firearm and blasted several bullets in Vernon’s direction. Vernon who was a security officer was hit several times and died on the scene. The deadly shooting has left his family in a state of shock and they say that their loved one’s life was innocently taken away. Vejea Alvarez tells us more.
