Belize Observes Brian Awareness Week

Belize observed Brain Awareness Week last week under the theme “Don’t Judge What You Don’t Understand”. The initiative focused on raising awareness about brain illnesses and promoting a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those affected. Founder of the Brain Awareness Society, Kaylia Nunez, highlights the need for increased education and advocacy efforts around brain illnesses. She says there is so much more work left to be done to raise awareness about the difficulties and challenges surrounding brain illnesses. The week-long event featured a series of virtual seminars, workshops, and panel discussions on brain health and wellness.
