The Government of Belize has received a donation of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for children aged 12 and above. The donation comes from the people and the government of Lithuania. The vaccine consignment was delivered to the Minister of Health and Wellness, Kevin Bernard, by the Honorary Consul of Lithuania, Carlos Perera, last week. Minister Bernard expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the generous contribution. The minister emphasized the importance of vaccination as a crucial tool in mitigating the spread of COVID-19. Officials continue to monitor and respond to the evolving situation regarding the pandemic. The ministry reminds the public that getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is critical to reducing the risk of complications and hospitalization if contracted. Furthermore, the ministry advises citizens to take a booster if they are eligible and to exercise caution and stay safe during the upcoming Easter weekend.
