Belizean government explores new sustainable energy sources with Organic Waste to Energy project.

The Government of Belize and stakeholders in the energy sector are working together to explore new sustainable energy sources. Today, the Ministry of Public Utilities and Energy held the second workshop of its “Organic Waste to Energy” project which seeks to utilize bio-mass to transform Belize’s energy sector. The project will explore new sustainable ways of producing clean and renewable energy. The Ministry’s Energy Director, Ryan Cobb, explained that during today’s workshop, the results of the project’s feasibility study were examined to chart a way forward for cleaner energy production.
