Belize’s Commissioner of Police Appointed Interim President of Regional Police Commission

Belize’s Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams was appointed Interim President of the Commission of Chiefs of Police and Police Directors of Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Colombia.  The appointment was made on May 18 unexpected changes in both the Police Commissioners of Costa Rica and Guatemala who were elected President and Vice President of the said Commission respectively in December 2022. With such appointment, the Interim President will call within a specified period a virtual extra ordinary General Assembly of the Commission to elect a new executive CJDPCAMCC is an inter-regional organization created to strengthen relations between the different Police agencies of the region, facilitate international cooperation and coordinate regional efforts in the fight against common and organized crime and emerging threats in order to improve security conditions in communities in all countries of the region.
