Brawl Breaks Out in the Maya Mopan Area in Belmopan

A street fight broke out on Friday night in the Maya Mopan Area in Belmopan, involving a group of men. Four men reportedly attacked Wilbur Rivera as he was making his way home. According to police, one of the men was armed with a machete. An amateur video captured the altercation which shows that one of the men wrestling the machete from one of the persons involved. Police Press Officer, ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, says officers who were on patrol at the time arrived on the scene within minutes and were able to detain three of the culprits.
