COVID-19 Numbers Are Back Up

Health officials are closely monitoring the number of new COVID-19 cases. That’s because the ministry tonight is reporting a dramatic spike in new cases- two hundred and fifty-nine new confirmed cases. This data was recorded between the six and 12 of December 6- this week. Some good news is that the number of active cases is two hundred and twenty-one which indicates persons recovering. The majority of the new cases were confirmed in the Belize District. Fortunately, there are no new deaths to report tonight. Recently the covid-19 cases have seen an uptick, and this is the highest recorded number of cases since September. During the September Celebrations, the MOHW recorded one hundred thirty-nine new cases between the tenth and thirteenth.
