Day Two of Trial Against Officer who Shot Laddie Gillett

The trial against Corporal Akeem Martinez, the police officer accused of fatally shooting Laddie Gillett, continued today in the Dangriga Supreme Court. The trial commenced last week Friday and is expected to continue throughout this week. Today’s session started this afternoon and finished late this evening. Laddie’s stepfather spoke to the media briefly saying he is not happy about the information shared during today’s session. 

And while prosecution is being led by Senior Crown Counsel Javier Chan, attorney Richard “Dickie” Bradly is assisting. Bradley was hired by Laddie’s family to advise the prosecution. Following today’s session, Bradley updates on the progress of the case.
