Father Charged for the death of his 4-year-old Son

Forty-year-old Desi Alvarez has been charged for the death of his four-year-old son, Javin. Alvarez was charged with manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, and drove motor vehicle not covered by third-party risk insurance. On Monday night, the Valley of Peace farmer was driving his pickup truck on the Valley of Peace road, heading to Roaring Creek when he lost control and crashed into a ditch. In the passenger seat was Javin who sustained head and body injuries and died after he was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan. Alvarez who escaped unharmed was also charged with resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, two counts of harm and one count of wounding.
