Frontline Workers Get Up to Date Information on How to Handle Malaria Cases

The Ministry of Health and Wellness recently organized a sensitization workshop for over two hundred healthcare professionals on the proper treatment and care of patients with malaria. The training session aimed to update the professionals on the current malaria status in Belize and the wider region as part of a regional project aimed at eliminating malaria. The Ministry’s Chief of Operations for Vector Control, Kim Bautista, emphasized the importance of educating healthcare professionals and the public on how to prevent and treat malaria effectively. He adds that the workshop is an important step towards improving the health and well-being of the population.
