GOB Gives Parcel of Land to Panamanian Embassy so An Office can be Built in Belmopan

The Embassy of Panama in Belize received its land papers and is now looking to build an office building in Belmopan. The Government of Belize presented the land papers to Ambassador Marta Boza Nuñez and the transfer agreement was signed on Tuesday, October 4 at the RECONDEV Conference Room. Ambassador Boza Nuñez expressed her pleasure and gratitude to GOB for finally accomplishing this milestone for their country’s embassy in Belize.

Marta Boza Nunez, Panamanian Ambassador to Belize: “We are currently at the ReconDev office receiving with much happiness and satisfaction after so many years of trying to be able to receive the effort of transferring a plot of land to the Panamanian government. This will be used for the construction of the Panamanian embassy here in Belmopan. We are very satisfied because we have great affection for Belize and we appreciate this opportunity of having this parcel of land signed over to us. Later on the titling will be done and we are hoping that our chancellor will be able to come and receive the title and then we can have a groundbreaking ceremony.”
