Grace Primary School in Belize City was burglarized over the weekend. The canteen was ransacked and several items were stolen. The burglar bars on the canteen were pried, and the place was looted, with food and other items being stolen and scattered, leaving all remaining food to be discarded. The locks on the burglar bar leading to the Vice Principal’s Office were also wrenched off, with the office being ransacked and several items, including a desktop computer, stolen. In addition, some cleaning agents from the teacher’s bathroom were also stolen. This burglary is not an isolated case, as a statement from the school’s General Manager, Sandra Bradshaw, explained in a statement that the Amara Avenue’s Campus experienced a similar hit in December 2022 and as recent as this January. The school management has reported the matter to the police and has appealed to the public for any information that could help bring the culprits to justice. The school is also taking measures to improve security on the premises to prevent any future occurrences
